      <image:title>DVAP - The Classes</image:title>
<image:caption>Each 60-minute class is run by facilitators trained on the NY Model for Batterer Programs, and the topics each week focus on education around the issue of domestic violence including: the definition of domestic violence, healthy relationship components, non-violent responses, male privilege, and the impact of domestic violence on victims, children, families, and society as a whole. The program has a strong education focus, the model of the DVAP program emphasizes accountability and accepting responsibility for personal choices- it is not a therapeutic model or a class designed to “treat” or “counsel” men who batter. Participants have clear expectations for program compliance, as part of the sanction imposed by the criminal justice system to emphasize zero-tolerance for domestic violence, and the class environment disallows excusing or justifying violence.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Therapeutic Services 2025 - Family Therapy</image:title>
<image:caption>Family therapy services are provided by trained master level therapists. Rooted in systems theory our professional staff view the family as a system and uses the inherent strengths and supports of the family to address conflicts and concerns. Feeling of safety and respect allow for productive conversation, problem solving and expressing thoughts and feelings. Family therapy is especially useful with parent-child conflict, sibling conflict in conjunction with individual sessions or child therapy. Often when supporting children that have experienced trauma or are engaging in reactive behaviors it is extremely beneficial to engage the entire family system in the healing process.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Therapeutic Services 2025 - Couples Therapy</image:title>
<image:caption>Couples counseling is a specialized therapy that emphasizes improving communication and intimacy between two adults. Our therapists non-judgmental and focuses on being a neutral facilitator. This also promotes the creation of a safe environment where individuals can be open and honest. Most conflicts such as finances, children’s discipline, or even infidelity can be explored and addressed. When two adults are feeling safe and able to openly express feelings and thoughts they are able to engage in supportive processing and problem solving. If a couple is unable to resolve their relationship concerns then a master level therapist can support a safe and healthy termination.</image:caption>
