School-Based Services
Collaborative efforts between advocates and therapist within the school allow a holistic approach for not only the individuals but also their families.
School based therapists work to build trust and rapport with the student, family, school and community. Supporting mental health and promoting resiliency with each individual student and fostering connections and systems of supports. Services include individual sessions, group therapy, and crisis intervention and staff consultation.
Advocates create positive mentoring relationships with students at school in both individual and group settings and also identify basic needs, challenges and strengths within their family, community and school setting. Advocates are trained in evidence-based and restorative practices within multi-tiered systems of support.
Our School Staff assist students by:
completing mental health assessments
meeting with families to identify potential barriers
helping students and families understand what has happened to them
developing support around the student and their family
bridging families to resources within the community
